Peace, my name is Juse1 - Tatau, tattoo and visual/creative artist, born and raised in Wellington, Aotearoa.
I have a passion for creation and use many mediums to produce my artwork. I have a background in illustration, graffiti writing, Polynesian tattoo and mural work. I have been practicing my craft of tattoo for the last decade and enjoy building amazing visual pieces with my clients. I specialise in fine line work, illustration, and font styles/lettering.

Originally from Belgium, Jesse is a specialist black and grey realism artist. His style is intricate and unique. The animals, both real and mythical, that he tattoos come to life on skin, leaping forward from sweeping skin breaks or delicate filigree.

Matt is an all-rounder tattoo artist, favoring the fusion of geometric patterns, realism and dot work.
His replication of watercolour and other challenging artistic styles is impressive to see when inked on skin. He's relentlessly creative and constantly drawing, designing, and coming up with new and creative ways to further his already impressive artistic output.
Matt has also featured digital illustrations in the art exhibitions on display in the studio.

Rosie is our junior tattoo artist and an amazing illustrator. She loves creating weird creatures and curiosities but somehow making them cute too! Rosie mainly does fine lines, stippling shading and etching techniques.

Josh is the most recent artist to join the team here at The Gallery. Originally from Auckland, he completed his training and apprenticeship in Hamilton before relocating to Wellington.
Bringing four years of experience, his tattoo style ranges from darkwork, to fine line, to traditional. He is currently expanding his repertoire into black and grey realism. Josh also has a large catalogue of flash available and will be around nearly every day we're open for client appointments, consultations, design, and walk-ins.
Despite his dark and twisted art style, Josh is a super-friendly and kind person who is always willing to go above-and-beyond. He's constantly refining his creative talents and expanding his skillset while ensuring his clients are totally satisfied with the tattoos they get from him. He has been building up a solid client base while working in Wellington and has a bright (dark) future as a tattoo artist.

Paul is our trainee tattoo artist.
He has been a freelance Illustrator and graphic designer for well over a decade giving him plenty of experience working with a wide range of clients to create custom eye-catching imagery.
He is no stranger to uniting illustrated elements, creative typography, calligraphy and intriguing textures with hopes to nourish a more interpersonal side of artistry through tattooing.
More recently he has been exploring the themes of otherworldly tech, sci-fi, and ritual through dark, symbolic and ornamental flash designs. He has heaps of flash up for grabs on his Instagram and is always open to custom commissions.
Outside of tattooing you'll find him on the local mountain bike trails and running electronic music events with Third Eye Hi-fi collective.
